The complete autoclave, including the outer casing, is made of high-grade stainless steel. The autoclave chamber is a horizontal model, rectangular in shape, with a front-loading design. The chamber and jacket are made of SS 316L. The chamber consists of rounded corners to prevent the formation of debris and ensure efficient cleaning. The jacket is duly insulated with 50-mm-thick glass wool insulation to ensure low thermal losses. The sterilizer is provided complete with high quality stainless steel trolleys and sterilization baskets.

The door is also made of SS 316L and is duly insulated with 50mm thick glass wool insulation to ensure that the working temperature of the door is 420°C. The fully automatic single vertical sliding door provides quick operation through a pass-through system with the latest multiple safety arrangements. An electrically operated door is linked to a silicone seal to provide a perfect seal.

The complete autoclave is linked to a microprocessor controller that monitors all the parameters in real time. The microprocessor control is linked to a bright-color touch-screen HMI to display and set all the parameters. The menu consists of eight preprogrammed standard cycles, which the operator can run at the touch of a button. Separate five-user programmable cycles are also provided. The operator can edit and run any of these five cycles. built-in provision of a chip card port for loading new programs through chip cards.

The operator access levels are programmable with password entry as under:

• Unauthorized User
• Authorized User
• Administrator
• Service Engineer
• Designer

The built-in alarm system provides a message on the touch screen in case of any failure or malfunction. The temperature is adjustable from 121°C up to 135°C. The safe working pressure range provided is 15 to 32 PSIG. Routine calibration and maintenance checks are carried out on a quarterly basis.
