The JINDAL CO₂ Incubator provides a perfectly stabilized and sterilized environment for cell culture and the study of temperature and CO₂ on human tissues. The incubator incorporates SS 304 construction interior surfaces with rounded

corners to eliminate contamination sources, mitigate the effects of airborne contaminants introduced through normal use, and provide a high degree of germicidal protection. Four stainless steel height-adjustable and removable shelves are provided with a removable humidity reservoir to provide humidity up to 95% RH.

The chamber consists of a 25-mm access port for calibration and other uses. The outside body is made of steel sheet, duly powder coated for rust-free performance. The complete incubator is mounted on castors for easy movement.

The CO2 incubator has a double-door design. The front door is duly insulated and fitted with heavy hinges with a mechanical latch and key. The inner glass door has separate airtight doors to prevent condensation. The inner glass door consists of a mechanical latch to provide a perfect seal against the silicone gasket. The user can view the specimens inside without disturbing the vital conditions. An independent door heater prevents condensation.

Jindal’s CO2 incubator uses a six-sided direct heat steam jacket fan-less gentle convection heating system that surrounds the inner chamber walls. This technique achieves accurate, uniform, and highly responsive temperature control within the chamber with no overshoot. This eliminates vibration and reduces sample evaporation.

The dual-beam infrared CO2 sensor with an auto-zero function is linked to a microprocessor controller with a sophisticated PID algorithm. This ensures ultra-fast recovery without overshoot and accurate CO2 averages even with frequent access through multiple door openings.

All instrument functions, including the temperature, CO2%, O2%, humidity%, and timer of the incubator, are programmable, with the facility for a selectable alarm for each parameter. The easy-to-read bright, large 7 touch screen microprocessor control has all set and processed temperature (linked to a highly accurate PT-100 sensor), CO%, O%, and humidity%, and an  audio-visua alarm for each parameter, including a low water alarm, temperature deviation (+/-0.5°C), CO%, O%, humidity, and provides stabilized and accurate controls. The alarms can be muted by touching the MUTE key. The controller also signifies when the timer is over. built-in auto-diagnostics for fault detection with error codes and identification of system status for easy troubleshooting. The user-friendly, comprehensive touch screen provides a quick view of all the parameters, help screens, graphs, active alarms, and other diagnostics. The chamber consists of interior light with on/off via touch screen. The microprocessor with non-volatile memory logs the data for 72 hours for temperature, CO2 level, O2 level, door opening, and other alarms. The data remains saved regardless of time or power failure, can be downloaded to a pen drive by a USB port available on the board, and then can be documented and printed. A standard Ethernet port allows the user to operate the machine from a remote location (connected to a PC). The RS-232 port for data communication is also an added advantage.
