Bio Safety Cabinet Class II Type-A2 SMI-163A

Jindal bio safety cabinets are innovatively designed for a brighter, quieter and more comfortable environment. Our Biological Safety Cabinet offers a comprehensive range of high performance, modular in construction combining
aesthetic appeal with functional utility and efficiency. Jindal Biological Safety Cabinet complies with the guidelines laid down by U.S. National Institute of Health, and the specifications of British Standard 5726 — Appendix A for class II Type A Biological Safety Cabinets& meets NSF 49 standards.

These Biological Safety Cabinet flow configurations find extensive application in Scientific, Medical and Industrial application where a localized high quality clean working environment is essential. These are designed to provide an atmosphere free from airborne particles with Laminar Air Flow flowing downward the work table. It is suitable for handling medium to low risk organisms encountered in
research, Investigation, Labs in all branches of Medical, Agriculture, and Pharmaceutical & Science.

In addition to normal feature of Vertical Laminar Flow, It is provided with following unique features:
Sliding Sash – renders unit convertible for use as a conventional vertical laminar down flow clean air work station. Built in U.V. Germicidal light – facilitates sterilization of working area before and after use. Cocks for gas, air &vacuum.
Static Pressure Manometer – is used for monitoring the HEPA filters.The cabinet comes with a calibration certificate & test report from a NABL accredited laboratory.

Construction :
– The outer body of the biosafe is made of galvanized steel sheet duly powder coated. The interior surface is made of thick stainless steel. The drain pan tray is also made of Stainless steel sheet. Smooth finish ensures no risk of cuts to the operator. The side panels have windows of thick tempered safety glass for viewing purposes.
The complete cabinet is supplied with movable stand to use the machine as a floor model. The front of the cabinet is provided with a sliding type tempered laminated transparent glass door which protects against leakage of UV rays & ensures containment of potentional hazardous material.

Air Flow and Filtration : – The combination of a supply HEPA filter (99.97% efficiency with a maximum particle count of 0.3microns) with a centrifugal blower gives the Lab culture Reliant cabinet a fully integrated performance envelope for product, operator and environmental protection. The Jindal double-wall design creates a dynamic Chamber plenum which surrounds contaminated areas with negative pressure, preventing the possibility of contamination from leaks in filter seal, gasket or cabinet structure. Double filtered air blows in laminar flow through the work table at designed velocity of 70 FPM-110FPM(Avg. Air flow velocity 90 FPM)

Blower Motor Assembly: – Duly balanced, direct drive highly efficient centrifugal blower units sized to provide adequate air flow volume over the entire surface of HEPA filter. These are directly coupled to an inbuilt motor and operate with minimum noise level i.e. lower than 65 db on scale and Vibration less than 2.5 um.

Lighting :
– The work area is properly illuminated by diffused, glare free fluorescent light.

UV Germicidal Lamp :
An in built UV germicidal lamp helps in killing of bacteria and other microorganisms.

Pressure Manometer
: – The instrument is provided with a pressure manometer which indicates the air
pressure.

Power Requirement :
– The instrument is designed to operate on 220V AC Supply.

Fully Automatic Microprocessor control :
– A fully automatic dedicated microprocessor helps in monitoring all the functions of the Laminar Air flow Cabinet. The advanced microprocessor monitors the in flow & down flow air velocities in real time to prevent sample contamination. View of both the velocities enables the user to know wheather the cabinet is working in safe operating conditions. The motor automatically adjusts the air flow speed to ensure continuous safe working conditions. The air flow is kept between 0.3 to 0.5m/sec (70-110FPM as per BSC Class II type A condition requirements). A high quality membrane keypad permits control settings and access to default settings.

The bright LEDs display the ON/OFF for blower operation, UV germicidal light, Fluorescent light, and Mains. A high quality encased pressure sensor monitors the pressure drop at supply filter as well as provides us actual air velocity. This microprocessor warns of any deviations (audio-visual alarm) in the air velocity from normal velocities, faulty fan, HEPA filter loading, HEPA filter replacement. A bright LCD displays all the parameters including date, time, air velocity and timer. An inbuilt UV timer helps in the decontamination by switching ON the UV tube for a certain time period(0-99 hours). The automatic UV interlock ensures that the UV Tube switches off as soon as the front sash is opened. A user friendly software and soft touch controls for blower, light, UV and power are easy to use.
